The early years, serving as the Virtual Counseling Center

When we originally began providing support directly to students, we called it the AutoDP Virtual Counseling Center. We thought the title had a futuristic feel to it, as the Internet has created the virtual world where people around the world can be supported as if they are sitting at your desk. However, we realized that many had a complete misunderstanding of what we offer as a direct result of the title, itself. First, when people hear the term "Automated," they naturally think mechanical, not realizing that the automation is simply using technology to take real counseling to the next level, empowering our counselors to uncover the best options for students to consider using systematic processes that can reduce hours of research down to seconds. People also misunderstood the term "Virtual Counseling," even though we underscored the logo on our website with the phrase, "The Access is Virtual; The Counseling is Real." People do not want Virtual Counseling - they want REAL Counseling; They just did not realize that is exactly what we offered.

Taking on a National Identity as the NCCC

We truly are National

The transition to the new name - the National College Counseling Center - was an easy decision to make. After all, we provide support to employees of corporations and government agencies with a presence in every state in this nation. Naturally, the title of National College Counseling Center simply made good sense.

In addition, we have built into our degree exploration system thousands of degrees from hundreds of colleges and universities that are spread across the entire nation. In fact, at last count, the colleges and universities that we have in our system have more than 1,400 locations across the nation. Clearly, this just made it more logical for us to bear the title of National College Counseling Center.

In the logo above, you will notice that we took on a national theme, using the same eagle and national flag that we originally used with our VCC logo. When we changed the wording around the outer circle, we placed the word "National" at the bottom for a reason - we did not want anyone mistakenly thinking we had any affiliation with a college or university that bears the name, National College. We do not empower students to explore degrees from a single college, but from hundreds of colleges across the nation. The logo design helps reinforce that focus to our clients.

We are the only organization of our kind

Are there other counseling centers that claim to be able to provide counseling to students across the nation? Absolutely. Yet there are none that come close to offering the type of support that we offer with our patented processes, state-of-the-art systems, and incredible student support websites that we have created for our students.

If you would like to know who the others are, please contact us and we'll send you their website addresses. You see, we are confident that they only make us look even better. We encourage others to compare and have yet to loose a potential client to the others as a result. That, essentially, reinforces our belief that we clearly offer the best value for the money for the services and support that we offer.
